I am a computer engineer from Finland and I currently study organizational management. I am experienced in developing both web applications and software for desktop and embedded computers.

Experience

November 2009 – Present – Reseracher, Åbo Akademi University

Presently, I am working at Åbo Akademi University examining different filter implementations for efficiently detecting frequencies in a signal using fixed point arithmetic.

May 2009 – November 2009 – Thesis worker, Åbo Akademi University, Finland

I worked seven months at Åbo Akademi University studying multi-antenna systems in digital video broadcasting. My work consisted of expanding an existing DVB-T2 simulator with support for MIMO-transmission. I wrote my thesis “Integration of MIMO support in a DVB-T2 simulator,” available under the theses page.

2006-2009 – Chief Technical Officer, Collaboratum Oy, Finland

At Collaboratum Oy (previously Viloke Oy) I became the lead developer for the company’s web collaboration product. I coordinated work with a sub-contractor responsible for the graphical user interface as well as continued development on the underlying architecture. Other responsibilities have included performing installations on customer’s servers and giving customer support.

2005-2006 – Software Developer, Viloke Oy, Finland

At Viloke I designed and implemented a online collaboration tool using Java EE. My responsibilities included designing using UML, programming in Java and different scripting languages as well as setting up and administering Java application servers running on Linux and Windows servers. More than a hundred Finnish companies use the tool.

2006-2008 – Computer Administrator, Datateknologerna vid Åbo Akademi r.f., Finland

I was a computer administrator for the computer engineer’s club at Åbo Akademi University for three years. My responsibilities included administering a multiuser Linux server with about 50 users and several different web servers. My work also included setting up and maintaining the club’s other computers.
